We offer culturally specific support services for Aboriginal people interested in connecting or reconnecting to their culture, traditions and ceremonies. Services include Aboriginal cultural training for students, community organizations, and individuals interested in learning more about Aboriginal (primarily Ongwehowe and Anishinaabe) cultural practices. The Kizhaay Anishinaabe Niin (I am a Kind Man) for adults and youth is a seven (7) week program designed to assist men and boys who support ending violence against Aboriginal women.
We are pleased to announce that the Cultural Development Program received funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to support the enhancement of our program and includes: Kizhaay Anishinaabe Niin, I am a Kind Father, and Male, Female and Mixed Sweat Lodge Ceremonies.
The purpose of Kizhaay Anishinaabe Niin "I Am a Kind Man" initiative is to engage the men of our communities to speak out against all forms of abuse towards women.
If you are interested in joining our committee of men and women who meet to plan events, workshops, information booths, please contact us for the next meeting date.
